He won the ball, studs weren't up, tackle wasn't far off the ground. Diaby's leg was in a bad position, but is that Joey's fault? He should be playing for England the way he has performed this season, if that was Wayne Rooney making that tackle everyone would be praising it.
He was off the ground and it was dangerous, the rules state that it should be a red card. Playing for England!? He'd be sent off for a tackle like this with an international ref.
